THE HISTORY HIDDEN IN ITS WALLS
Next to the church of Santa Eulàlia and the cemetery that bordered it, there was a small land that Pere Torres Palmitjavila, of Casa Tresà, acquired in the year 1830.
The new owner built a cottage to store grass in the era, and cows and mares in the court. Over time, he became a precursor, since he was the first inhabitant of Encamp to harvest honey. The good location of the cottage, which was bathed by the rays of the sun all day, allowed him to consolidate a small production of honey for its own consumption, although he also distributed it among the neighbors who were passing hard times.
THE HISTORICAL CENTER OF ENCAMP
The Romanesque church of Santa Eulalia de Encamp, built at the end of the 11th century, represents the entrance to the heart of the historical center of the “parroquia”, where the Casa Rural de les Arnes survives over the years. Located in the heart of the historical center of Encamp in Andorra, less than 5 minutes away from the cable car of the Funicamp, the fastest access to the Grandvalira ski area.
